Kermit Lowry is the founder and CEO of Lifelong Merchant Services and leads Lifelong POS, the company’s point-of-sale platform for general and specialty retail. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia and has spent 8 years working hands-on in the point-of-sale and payments space — from processing and interchange to hardware, dual pricing, and the compliance realities specialty retailers face every day.
He started Lifelong to give independent operators a payments and POS partner that actually answers the phone, and he writes about how to choose, configure, and run a register that fits the way a shop really works. When he is not working, Kermit travels the country and seeks out live music.
